A Wrap and a Visit from the Captain!

Date: December 26th, 2014
Location: Buffalo Wild Wings; Braintree, MA
Contender: Buffalo Ranch Chicken Wrap

I know I’ve been writing about B-Dubs a lot lately, and I guess they took notice!  Someone must have informed them of my VIP status in the buff chix blogging world, because last time I visited one, they sent over the Captain!  The Cap told us she was there to make us happy and make sure we come back, so she offered us 2 free beer samples each, and 6 free sauce samples with french fries!  Score!!!!

The six wing sauces we sampled were:

Medium – I already knew I liked this one.

Parmesan Garlic – I actually thought this tasted better with fries than it did when I tried it in boneless wing form last time.  But it is definitely creamy and delish.

Wild – This is the 2nd hottest sauce on the menu, because my friend Joe is a lunatic.  It was quite spicy!

Caribbean Jerk – This is my husband’s fave, and it is fantastic!

Mango Habanero – I didn’t taste this because I’m not a mango fan, but others at the table enjoyed it.

…and a sixth one that neither my husband nor I can remember.  Oops.

Anyway, well done Captain!  You’ve done your job and I’m sure we’ll be back!!!

Now back to the juicy stuff you all came here for – my evaluation of the wrap!

The menu says “Crispy chicken Buffalo Tenders topped with our signature Medium™ sauce, ranch dressing, lettuce, tomato and a blend of cheeses.”  If you’re a regular reader, you probably already know that I dropped the tomato and changed the ranch to bleu cheese.  🙂

This was a very enjoyable wrap.  The Medium sauce is just perfect, and it blended well with the bleu cheese.  It was neatly and tightly wrapped, which is always important.  You don’t want your wrap unraveling while you’re trying to eat it!  Sometimes wraps will be skimpy on the meat, but this one was not.  This one was mostly chicken, which made it hearty and filling.  I actually think this may have been grilled instead of fried chicken, which I didn’t ask for but ended up being perfect.  I can’t say I tasted much of the “blend of cheeses”, but I didn’t really need it with the sauce situation.

Overall, I quite liked it.  I’ve yet to be disappointed by B-Dubs, and the visit from the Captain made this trip extra special!
