I’ve tried buffalo chicken macs before, but each time I was left feeling unsatisfied. Buffalo chicken and macaroni and cheese are two of the most delicious foods on the planet, so put together, one might assume the deliciousness would bloom exponentially! Well, only if you do it right. I’ve tried B-Dubs Mac n Cheese, which had top notch buffalo chicken, but only mediocre mac n cheese, and Easy peasy, mac ‘n cheesy, which had great mac n cheese, but an underwhelming buffalo chicken situation. Well, my friends, I’ve finally found a buffalo chicken mac n’ cheese that does right by these two delicacies!
The menu says: “Wisconsin Mac & Cheese with parmesan chicken, Frank’s RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce, parmesan cheese and green onions”. What’s not to love? The pasta (as you might hope from a place called Noodles) was perfectly cooked. The cheese was deep, rich, and super sharp. The chicken was breaded, but not too heavy. Frank’s Red Hot was tastefully drizzled onto the dish, and I probably don’t have to tell you again that green onions are a surefire way to my heart!
Overall, I just adored this dish. It wasn’t especially fancy or complicated, but it was delightful. This is easily my favorite buffalo chicken mac so far! Well done, Noodles!
