Tacos!!!

Contender: Spicy Buffalo Taco

Tacqueria 27 is a local favorite known for their creative tacos.  So imagine my excitement upon learning that their taco of the day was buffalo flavored!  What an excellent opportunity to add a new variety of food to my esteemed buffalo chicken blog!

The menu read: “Spicy Buffalo Fried Chicken, Carrot Celery Slaw & Gorgonzola on flour”.  This introduced enough creativity to the dish to pique my interest and garner a couple of extra points.  And luckily, gorgonzola is an acceptable substitute for bleu cheese.  I was fully on board to try these tacos.

The perfect combination of textures really sold this dish for me – chewy tortilla, crispy chicken, crunchy slaw.  The flavors of hot sauce and Gorgonzola blended nicely, and the ratios were appropriate and satisfying.  The dish was fun and creative along with being tasty.  All in all, I was mighty impressed with this entry.  I’m just sad that it isn’t a regular menu item!
