Contender: Buffalo Chicken Salad
We meandered down the main drag in Park City with my in-laws today, and lunched in this cozy little restaurant. I was delighted to find a buffalo chicken salad on the menu, so of course I dove in!
The menu reads: Fresh Romaine dressed in mild blue cheese dressing with blue cheese crumbles, shredded carrots and celery, lightly-crisped chicken tenders in medium spiced buffalo sauce.
The presentation was lovely and the taste was even better! The Lettuce was crunchy and perky, and the dressing was subtle yet sufficient. The buffalo sauce was simply the perfect flavor, and it melded seamlessly with the dressing to coat the lettuce in deliciousness. The blue cheese crumbles were plentiful. The chicken was delightfully cooked, crunchy on the outside and tender in the middle.
The ratios were pretty spot on. Maybe I could’ve used one more chicken strip. I did not see or taste any of the alleged celery shavings, unfortunately. I can only imagine that would have added to my enjoyment of the dish. There were a few errant parmesan cheese shavings and one rogue tomato chunk, probably hitchhikers from other salads being prepared in the same area. I’ll never complain about extra cheese in my salad, but the tomato obviously had to be evicted! All in all, I really enjoyed this salad and managed to put away the whole thing!
